Rep. Terri Sewell receives endorsement from National Women’s Political Caucus
Birmingham, AL—The National Political Women’s Caucus, a prominent Washington, D.C.-based organization that advocates for female candidates and elected officials nationwide, has endorsed Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell for a third-term.
On its website, www.NPWC.org, the caucus says since being elected in 2010 as the first African-American woman to represent Alabama in Congress, Rep. Sewell has been fighting hard for the people of Alabama, and she continues to make us proud through her work as a Chief Deputy Whip. The NWPC adds that it “fully supports Congresswoman Terri Sewell to further the issues of women in Congress!”
In a statement, Congresswoman Sewell commended the National Political Women’s Caucus for its outstanding support of women and women’s issues. “I am proud to stand up for women not only in Alabama, but across the United States,” Sewell said. “I am committed to continuing the fight for equal pay for women who do the same job as men and also for women’s rights to make their own decisions when it comes to their healthcare.”
